We had lots of fun on Halloween! The kids didn't have school and so we did some fun activities at home. The following two pictures are of Trey making a Frankenstein out of playdoh. He did a pretty good job if I do say so myself.

Here are a few pictures of the kids in their costumes. Trey was Ironman, and after much persuading Ashlyn was SuperGirl (she originally wanted to be Batman:)

We went to a Great Halloween party and had loads of fun with a bunch of our friends and the kids had a blast Trick or Treating and came home with loads of candy that will take forever to get rid of!

Okay, so for some stupid reason my blog isn't letting me upload pictures right now so I guess this will just be a catch up post without pictures.
I guess the most interesting news is that Russell quit his job at Wells Fargo and is now working as the Private Client Banker for Zion's. He is feeling a little overwhelmed right now because he is now considered one of the top executives of the Bank and he has a lot to learn! I know that he will do awesome though!

Next item of business: My dear sweet little five year old who thinks he is going on 16! Last night as he was eating his bedtime snack he told me he needed the phone. When I asked him why he said that he needed to call Sarah! I asked him who Sarah was and he replied,"Oh, just a girl in my class who gave me her phone# because she thinks that I am cute!" As I am trying to keep a straight face he leans over and whispers,"To tell you the truth, I think that she has a major crush on me!" I about lost it,Russ and I were trying so hard not to laugh! After regaining my composure, I informed him that he didn't need to be calling any girls for about 10 more years!

Ashlyn, is just as cute and fiesty as ever! She has been going potty a couple of times a day and keeps coming in with he pants around her ankles(usually when I have company:) So I am guessing that maybe she is ready to be potty trained? I guess I will keep everyone posted on how that goes-wish me luck!

Okay, it has been forever since I have posted anything so I thought I would play a little catch up!

After the first big snowstorm, Trey immediately got all of his snow gear on and went outside to play. Ashlyn thought that she needed to be out there with him. She was just fine until she sat down in the snow and then she was done!

When we finally got back from Utah, I pulled out all the Christmas decorations with the intent of putting them up the next day. I left to go grocery shopping and when I came home I found that Trey had decided to do it all himself:) Russ had stayed home with the kids and said that Trey was so cute putting everything up he didn't have the heart to tell him he needed to wait:)

While we were visiting grandparents, Ashlyn was going through the drawers in grandma's bathroom and found a tube of concealer. She decided to put it on as lipstick. I have no idea where she even came up with using it as lipstick because I have never worn lipstick! Anyhow, I am not sure how well it shows up in the picture but her mouth was pretty much covered!

My husband has spent the last week in New York fishing. I know, when I think of New York I don't think of it as a major fishing destination! Apparently its not too shabby though as the following pictures will show:)

Potty Party!

Ashyln has decided that it is fun to sit on the potty. She will be playing around and then run into the bathroom yelling "potty! potty!" She sits there for about five minutes(doesn't go or anything) and then says "all done" and wants to get down. I hope this means that she will potty train early!

4:00 A.M. Wakeup call!

At 4 o'clock this morning I awoke to the sound of my precious daughter quietly saying,"mama, mom, mommy...it then progressed to MAAAAAMAAAA!!!! I then proceeded to drag my very tired little behind out of bed and into her bedroom to see what it was that required my attention (not) so bright and early. I walk into her bedroom where she was standing up in her crib and was greeted with an all too familiar stench and to my daughter saying,"Ashy stinky...ooooh yuck!" I couldn't help but laugh, she was so matter of fact about it, right to the point! I quickly changed her diaper and begged her to do her business during daylight hours from now on:)

I never know what kind of crazy thing my kids are going to do next. Tonight I came home from grocery shopping and as I am walking up the front steps I hear this knocking sound. So I look up and Trey is standing up in his window(I have no idea how he got up there!)and he is buck naked! It is dark outside and his bedroom light was on so anyone and everyone passing by had a great view of my son in his birthday suit! Like I said before,"what will they think of next?!" I hate teeth,they are nothing but trouble! My poor little Trey somehow managed to get a microscopic fracture in his back molar and then a bacterial infection set in and his cheek swelled up to the size of a golfball! The poor kid has been in so much pain the past week but thankfully after some pretty powerful antibiotics he is starting to feel much better! Ashlyn is getting 4 new teeth (molars) and is not a very happy camper! Needless to say, I haven't had more than 3 hours of sleep per night for the last 4 days! I am sooooo tired, ahh the joys of motherhood! Things like this suck, but I wouldn't trade being a mother for anything:)

Trey is now a Kindergartener! ( I will post some pictures of his first day of school soon) He has been in school for five days now and he still loves it:) We have to laugh at him cause everyday he comes home and says, "Guess what mom? They let us play on the park(playground) again today! We must be really lucky to get to do that so many times in a row!" Ahhh the joys of recess:) As long as there is recess all will be right with the world!

I have finally joined the blogging world. I have no idea what I am doing, but hopefully with enough trial and error I will figure it out. This is a great way to keep people updated on our lives and since all my friends are doing it, I figured that I might as well give in to the peer pressure and join in.
